Mertailor's Mermaid Aquarium Encounter in Lecanto, Florida brings live underwater mermaid performances, marine animals, education and a little imagination together under one roof.
We created the Mertailor Creator Program for social media creators, storytellers, photographers, travel personalities and digital publishers who want to share experiences their audiences might not see every day.

We are looking for creators who can help introduce Mertailor's Mermaid Aquarium Encounter to new audiences throughout Citrus County, Crystal River, Florida's Nature Coast and beyond.

Every collaboration is a little different. Approved creator visits are built around the creator, the audience and the story we are working together to tell.

Approved creators may receive complimentary admission for themselves and select guests as part of an agreed collaboration.

Select collaborations may include animal feedings, experiences, behind-the-scenes opportunities, seasonal events or other access when available.

Complimentary creator visits are offered in exchange for agreed social media or digital content. Before your visit, we will confirm what Mertailor is providing and what you are creating so everybody knows what to expect.

Mertailor's Mermaid Aquarium Encounter is located in Lecanto, in the heart of Citrus County and minutes from Crystal River and Florida's Nature Coast.
But the Mertailor story started long before our aquarium. What began with a fascination for Florida's mermaids grew into more than two decades of creating mermaid tails, underwater performance and eventually an aquarium built around marine life, education and imagination.

Before You Apply
A Few Things You Might Be Wondering.
Do I need a certain number of followers to apply?
No fixed follower count guarantees or prevents approval. We look at the overall fit, including your audience, location, engagement, content quality, performance and what you would like to create.
Does applying guarantee complimentary admission?
No. Creator visits are limited and applications are reviewed individually. Submission of an application does not guarantee approval, complimentary tickets, special access or additional experiences.
Can I bring someone with me?
Possibly. Approved creator collaborations may include admission for select guests depending on the collaboration. Please tell us who you would like to bring when you apply.
What am I expected to post?
It depends on the collaboration. Before complimentary admission is issued, we will agree on the expected content with you so there are no surprises on either side.
Do I have to post a positive review?
No. We want authentic creators and authentic experiences. Complimentary access is exchanged for agreed content, not for a guaranteed positive opinion.
Can photographers or creators who are not traditional influencers apply?
Absolutely. The program is intentionally designed for more than traditional influencers. Photographers, videographers, bloggers, YouTubers, local storytellers and other digital creators are welcome to apply.
How far in advance should I apply?
Apply before your intended visit and give us as much notice as reasonably possible. Special access and additional experiences may require more planning and are always subject to availability.
